BACKGROUND

He was born in 1989 in Mudanya, Bursa. He completed primary and secondary school in Mudanya. He completed his high school education at Bursa Boys' High School. He graduated from Atılım University, Faculty of Law in 2014. He completed his master's degree in the Department of International Relations at Galatasaray University, Institute of Social Sciences in 2017. He studied for one full term at Harvard University Faculty of Law in the US.

He served in many international institutions. He served as Media Director, Deputy Director General and Director General at the Model United Nations Türkiye Conference and the EuroAsia Model United Nations Conference, respectively. He represented his party on international platforms. He participated in the European Young Socialists and International Young Socialists Union meetings as a representative.

He worked at the Brussels-based International Atlantic Treaty Association and organized many conferences within this scope.

He gave a presentation at the conference titled ‘Shifting dynamics of the new world’ organized by the Danish Atlantic Treaty Association in Aalborg.

He attended the “Black Sea Trust” conference organized by the Black Sea Cooperation Organization in Yerevan by winning a European Council Scholarship.

He was the Session President at the Model United Nations Conference organized by Doğa Schools in Famagusta.

He participated as a speaker in the conference titled “NATO-Russia Relations” organized by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Moscow.

He participated as a speaker in the seminar organized by the Portuguese Atlantic Treaty Association in Lisbon.

He was part of the Party of European Socialists (PES) team that observed the Dutch General Elections in Amsterdam-The Hague-Rotterdam, representing the Republican People's Party.

He was a member of the Republican People's Party delegation at the Party of European Socialists (PES) Congress in Sofia. He participated in the activities of the "PES Activists" group at the same congress.

Since 2010, he has been serving as the Ankara Provincial Vice President and the Deputy Chairman of the Republican People's Party Youth Branch at the congress.

In 2012, he represented the CHP Youth Branch at the European Young Socialists (ECOSY-YES) General Assembly in Stockholm.

In the 2018 General Elections, he became the Republican People's Party Bursa 2nd Region 9th Rank Candidate Member of the Parliament.

In October 2019, he participated in the Young European Socialists Seminar in Copenhagen on behalf of the Republican People's Party Youth Branch.

He was elected as the Bursa Provincial Board Member of the Republican People's Party in 2020. He was appointed as the provincial vice president responsible for the organization and organization management, and subsequently as the provincial secretary.

He completed his internship at Bursaspor Club and ELIG Joint Law Firm, respectively. He was elected as a board member of the Bursa Bar Association Young Lawyers Assembly.

In 2024, he was elected as Mudanya and Bursa Metropolitan Municipalities Council Member.

In 2024, he was accepted by the European Union to the Young Elected Politicians Program with a full scholarship.

In 2024, he was appointed to the National Delegation of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.

Güneş, who speaks fluent English and Danish, is currently the Vice Mayor of Mudanya and the President of the Law Commission.

BACKGROUND

Born in Samsun in 1981, Nisa Kartaltepe graduated from Balikesir University, Department of Civil Engineering in 2004. She worked as a Research Assistant while doing her master's degree at Izmir Institute of Technology. Her master's thesis was on the subject of "Preliminary Design and Analysis of Immersed Tube Tunnels for Izmir Bay" and this study was published in the internationally refereed journal Gradevinar.

She moved to Bursa in 2009 and started working as a Civil Engineer at Nilüfer Municipality Directorate of Technical Affairs. She took an active role in many important projects such as cultural centers, marketplaces, parking lots, sports halls and social facilities. Her success in project management earned her the Performance Award in 2015.

Nisa Kartaltepe started working as the Deputy Director of Technical Affairs at Mudanya Municipality in 2017 and was later appointed as the Vice Mayor. She makes significant contributions to the municipality administration with her expertise in urban planning, infrastructure development and projects promoting gender equality.
